The Name of the Wind - Patrick Rothfuss Not a bad book, but I wasn't fully engaged until very late in it. Kvothe as a character is well-written and the author makes it easy to believe in this man who can so unbelievably brilliant at some times but so utterly foolish at others. Still, the fact that he was all over the place made it very hard for me to relate to or like him, and that impeded my enjoyment of the story somewhat, especially since much of the book is about his early life when what I really wanted to get into was the main conflict with the Chandrian.
