Bone Crossed - Patricia Briggs Series is getting better and better for me. This was probably the best Mercy book so far. She's growing as a character, getting over what happened to her in traumatic events of the last book, and it's refreshing to see her handle it with grace and strength.

I also liked how there was a side story here involving Mercy's "frenemy" Amber from her past, and following her to Spokane to investigate a haunting was a nice excursion and break from the drama surrounding the werewolf pack and vampires.

Because if there's one thing I've learned I can always depend on when reading urban fantasies series like this? It's that there will be plenty of unnecessarily complicated werewolf/vampire politics going on all the time, and it can get a little tedious after a while. Especially since I find Brigg's version a little more confusing to follow and tougher to wrap my head around than usual.
